TENDONOL® HYBRID

Create seals according to the regulations of the German Model Building Code (MBO) and the German Model Timber Construction Guideline (M-HBauRL), with TENDONOL® Fire Protection Sealing Compound

Modern timber construction – the hybrid construction method – is very much in vogue. It allows different materials such as concrete, steel and wood to be combined, thus achieving new properties.

Wood is an essential element in hybrid construction and, as a renewable raw material, it also makes climate-neutral construction possible.

Fire protection represents an important link between combustible and non-combustible building components in this case. Here, the fire protection sealing compound TENDONOL® is used as a joint sealant (in assembly joints) between F90 solid-construction walls and glulam trusses, and between hybrid ceilings and the wooden walls beneath them.

Smoke gases pose the greatest danger in the event of a fire. The TENDONOL® Fire Protection Joint-Sealing Compound prevents smoke gases from spreading to other rooms.

Expert reports state that the properties of TENDONOL® fulfil the fire protection requirements according to the rules of the M-HBauRL and the K260 encapsulation criterion according to DIN EN 13501-2 when installed in conventional structures and in hybrid construction (expert report 100819-2, ibb dated 27/03/2020)
